Join instructor Ahren and discover your inner musician at the Thornton Library! Even if you’ve never touched an instrument before, you’ll be able to play a song on the ukulele by the end of class!

About the event

In this program, students will learn: 

  • Ukulele anatomy
  • Ukulele history 
  • Basic rhythms 
  • How to tune the ukulele 
  • How to read chord charts
  •  How to play their first song on ukulele!

You’re welcome to bring your ukulele if you have one. If not, a ukulele will be provided during the program. Ukuleles are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

*This is ideal for students ages 4-7.
