Family Ukulele Jam

Course is structured to have an overview of how to hold the ukulele, discuss string and finger numbers, and have a quick crash course in reading chord charts and musical symbols used on the provided sheet music. 

Students will:

• Learn a song in each class
• Learn chords and transitions
• Students will learn fundamentals of the Ukulele 
• Gain auditory skills
• Develop rehearsal skills 
• Learn ensemble skills
• Develop rhythm/timing 
• Become a part of a community
• Students may have the opportunity to learn TAB if class is ready

Family Ukulele Jam is a recurring event that happens on a monthly basis on the first Wednesdays of the month at Melody Mart. This class is suited for all levels however the  class is specifically designed for individuals who have never played ukulele before, or are just beginning their ukulele journey. This is a low-pressure, fun, and relaxing group class.

Additionally, there is another ukulele group for more advanced players, our Ukulele Ensemble! A ukulele is required, but we do offer a selection of ukuleles for purchase at Melody Mart. Music is provided by the instructor. You’re welcome to join the group once you register for the event!
