Join instructor Ahren and discover your inner musician at the Thornton Library! Whether you’re first chair in your school band or have never touched an instrument before, you’ll be able to play a song on the Ukulele by the end of class.

About the event

In this program, students will learn: 

  • Ukulele anatomy
  • Ukulele history 
  • Basic rhythms 
  • How to tune the ukulele 
  • How to read chord charts
  •  How to play their first song on ukulele!

You’re welcome to bring your ukulele if you have one. If not, a ukulele is provided during the program. Ukuleles are first come first serve.

*This is ideal for students ages 8 and up
