We believe in something simple but oh so very powerful:
Everyone deserves someone who believes in them from the day they play their very first note.
It doesn't matter who you are; where you want to go; or your why-- because we believe ever single person has the ability to be a great musician.
To us, it is irrelevant if you are the person who is scared to make a sound or the person who is dusting off their case after 50 years of not playing. We see you, we believe in you and we are already cheering you on!
We all have a story. The good. The bad. The ugly.
It all led us here to this one building Every single person at Melody Mart-- the students, the parents, the educators, the admin team and the boss--
We are musicians. We are teachers. We are lifelong learners who come together to create, grow, and share the joy of music. We pride ourselves on the following principles:
Friendly Faces, Serious Teaching
We take traditional conservatory learning and make it fun. We want all our students to enjoy their music learning experience and at the same time, learn everything from their fundamentals to having the ability to sightread music or jam out with ease.
Practice makes Progress
Contrary to the saying practice makes perfect, we instill the idea that practice makes progress. Consistency is essential in any skill that you want to build!
Our programs are structured with the idea for you to show up consistently and practice your craft.
Creativity Should Be Protected
Our goal is always to make you the best musician that you can be!
It doesn't matter if you want to be the greatest classical pianist, the most soulful gospel player, or you want to start an indie metal polka band-- we are going to get you there one way or another.
When we think about our teaching, we think about what brings you joy AND how technique can free our student's expression.
Community is Foundational to Music Making
Music was never meant to be practiced alone forever. It is meant to be shared.
We want our students to become a part of something bigger! So we are always reaching to create spaces designed to support growth and belonging.
Music should be Fun!
When you play your first scale or finally master that rhythm that was giving you trouble, or when you perform in front of a crowd for the first time; we celebrate!
Because we are not just here to fix your posture and correct your hand position;
we are here to witness and support you and your musical journey.
